Eurotard Pointe Comfort Gel Pads were the Original Gel Pad in the market, and are the only gel pads created by a Doctor using ViscoForm®. ViscoForm® Gel shifts to help evenly distribute dancers weight on their toes for a more stable, safe pointe experience. Effectively extend performance time for dancers en pointe. Best for Greek and Egyptian feet.

Second toe longer than your big toe? (Aka the “Greek” foot)? These pads are great at helping get some of that pressure off that sensitive second toe!
A sharp tapering of toes from the big toe to the smallest pinky toe? You’ve got an Egyptian foot!
Both of these types of feet are notoriously hard to (comfortably) fit in pointe shoes and these thicker pads usually help with this problem.
Soft and squishy – these pads offer some serious TLC to those hurting toesies! They’re doctor designed and fairly thick. They use a medical-grade silicone based gel.
Not my personal favorite though for those with low arches because the end thickness of the pad makes it much harder for the foot to get up over the shoe. However – sometimes the TLC merits using these gel pads! I also think that the ultralite version of these pads (clear) and the featherlites (pink or purple) are better fits for the first time pointe shoe students than these (see previous line about making it a little more difficult to get over the shoe in these). However – there are always exceptions to this rule.
The best example (I personally have) of an exception – one young lady came to me with a very severe latex allergy. Tights could cause problems on their own from the latex in the spandex in the fibers! These were the only pads we could find that the manufacturer would practically guarantee that these didn’t ever encounter latex in the manufacturing process. Eurotard even went so far as to call the plant/manufacturing manager to go and physically walk the line to ensure that there was minimal contamination from latex. She’s done pointe work with this pad now (exclusively) for several years. So this is the only pad I recommend for those with latex allergy concerns!
These pads definitely benefit from some TLC of their own. Wash them in a sink every so often and make sure to keep some baby powder on hand to keep them from getting really sticky. Once they’re sticky (and if you don’t powder them) – they’re much more likely to tear. Remember – friction in a pointe shoe only needs to be where it “should” be!
Sizing Info: These fit most feet that are in the “size range” for most pointe shoes.

*A note about prices – while the MSRP is listed – it is just that. Please remember that your local dance store also has to cover shipping costs, lights, rent, other utilities, and oh yeah – HUMANS! When you go into a local dance store – please realize that you are possibly paying a small premium for their expertise, knowledge, and having (most) products there on hand. That’s not cheap. Please don’t go “window shopping” there only to save a few bucks. Especially on products under $100, it’s really not worth it. Support your local store. Please.
